The Hemel Hempstead school has a large and thriving Sixth form of over 200 students.
We offer traditional A Levels in a wide range of subjects as well as Level 3 applied qualifications. Student leadership features very heavily in our commitment to ensuring that our young people maximise their personal as well as academic potential. Sixth Formers are house Captains, organising Music, Dance and Drama festivals every year. They promote charity fundraising activities and act as prefects and mentors for younger students. The Head Students, their Deputies and other Year 13 students from the Senior Student Leadership Team (SSLT) play a major role both within the Sixth Form community and in representing the school as a whole.
Students are supported in the academic studies by their subject teachers, their Form Tutors, Mrs Leita (Head of Year 13) and Miss Brush (Head of Year 12) In addition, Mrs Cooper, our KS5 Pastoral Manager, provides help in monitoring the progress of individuals and implementing programmes of support where needed.
Approximately 80% of our students proceed to degree level courses or higher apprenticeships every year.
